Overview
First, you will visit Potato Park, a 30-minute drive from Pisaq. We will provide you with valuable insights into how the six surrounding communities are working to protect potato diversity through this local initiative.
Afterwards, we will keep going to our leading destination, the three lagoons Quinsa Cocha – a sparkling dark blue lake, nestled in between majestic Andean peaks. In this lake, some local communities are cultivating rainbow trout. That´s where we will spend our day fishing!
Full Itinerary
We will start our tour by picking you up from your hotel at 07:00 am, then head through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to Pisac. From here, we will take the road up to the potato park. It's an exciting journey where you can witness the transformation of the valley and the highland. As we ascend, the flora changes with every minute, and we will encounter very friendly people from the communities, along with beautiful kids waving to us.
We will visit the Potato Park, then stop for a few minutes to meet a local family in one of the communities. Afterwards, will keep going to the Blue Lagoon. Here, we will assemble the fishing gear and head out to fish on the lake's beautiful shores. Our local guide will take us to the best spots. The main idea is to catch our lunch.
After enjoying this beautiful time and relaxation, we will ride back to the local family's house for lunch. After enjoying the delicious Peruvian food, we will get back to Cusco.
