This great adventure will take you to experience the last link of ancient Inca engineering with the modern world: the last hanging Inca Queswachaca Bridge. This Inca bridge over the Apurimaq River is a legacy to us, a reminder of how the Andean people adapted themselves to nature and used it wisely to their needs.
This bridge is replaced every year in a ceremony attended by the entire community, in recognition of its ancestral engineering.

Full Itinerary
We will pick you up at 5:00 am from your hotel in Cusco in our private transport, travelling through the southern valley of Cusco to the town of Cusipata, on the highway to Puno, where we will stop for breakfast. Then, our first stop will be in the town of Combapata. Here, we will visit the first Pomacanchis lagoon, part of the 4-lagoons circuit, from which we will enjoy impressive views and Andean landscapes.
Then we will pass through the Acopia, Asnaqocha, and Pampamarca lagoons and appreciate the unique flora and fauna of each.
After a brief tour, we will continue through the Yanaoca district, one of the eight districts of the Canas province in Cusco. Continuing our journey for one more hour, we reached the district of Q’ewe, where the famous Inca bridge of “Qeswachaka” is located. It is built from vegetable fibre and is 28.67 meters long. Throughout the trip, our guide will narrate the History of this work of Inca engineering, including the stonework that holds both sides of the bridge. You can cross the Queswachaca bridge and experience how the ancient people did, and you will enjoy the feeling of crossing through the steps of History. (but it is a requirement not to suffer from vertigo).
At the end of the visit, we will head back to Yanaoca town, where a succulent lunch awaits us, and then return to Cusco at approximately 4:30 pm.
