Overview

The area around Cusco offers a great amount of natural and beautiful sceneries, all in the bloom of Andean flora and fauna. One of them is the Humantay lagoon, that offers us an amazing ecosystem and natural beauty, being located directly at the foot of the sacred snow carped Mountain. The turquoise water is forming an incredible mirror of the majestic mountain.

To discover and enjoy the beauty of this Andean scenery, we will take you on a journey of 3 hours, passing through breathtaking landscapes and small towns of native people. We will experience their costumes and traditions and then start our adventure to the blue lagoon from Soraypampa.

Full Itinerary

Our day adventure begins at 5:00 am when we pick you up from your hotel. In our touristic bus, we will take the road through the valley of Limatambo, reaching the town of Mollepata at around 8:00 am.

Here we will stop for breakfast and energy supplies, continue our bus ride a little longer and then start our hike from Soraypampa (3950 m.o.s.l). From here we keep the adventure to reach our main destination, the blue lagoon, enjoying the view of the Andean snow-covered mountains, as well as the beautiful green valley of the Apurimac River.

Arriving to the majestic lagoon, which is surrounded by many snow-covered mountains at 4.200 m.o.s.l, you will be amazed most of all by the clear blue color of the water so that you will definitely not doubt to dip your feet in. Better take a million pictures, because afterward, you will not believe what natural beauty you have just seen!

After all this magical experience of Andean sceneries, we return to Soraypampa where our staff will be waiting for you with a delicious lunch.

After a short rest we board the bus and return to Cusco, arriving around 6.30 pm at the city center.
