Overview

The area around Cusco boasts a wealth of natural and beautiful scenery, all in the bloom of Andean flora and fauna. One of them is the Humantay lagoon, that offers us an amazing ecosystem and natural beauty, being located directly at the foot of the sacred snow carped Mountain. The turquoise water is forming an incredible mirror of the majestic mountain.

To discover and enjoy the beauty of this Andean scenery, we will take you on a 3-hour journey, passing through breathtaking landscapes and small towns inhabited by native people. We will experience their costumes and traditions, and then start our adventure to the Blue Lagoon from Soraypampa.

Full Itinerary

Our day adventure begins at 5:00 am when we pick you up from your hotel. In our tourist bus, we will take the road through the valley of Limatambo, reaching the town of Mollepata at around 8:00 am.

Here we will stop for breakfast and energy supplies, continue our bus ride a little longer and then start our hike from Soraypampa (3950 m.o.s.l). From here, we keep the adventure to reach our leading destination, the blue lagoon, enjoying the view of the Andean snow-covered mountains, as well as the beautiful green valley of the Apurimac River.

Arriving at the majestic lagoon, surrounded by many snow-covered mountains at 4,200 m.o.s.l, you will be amazed most of all by the clear blue colour of the water, which will make you want to dip your feet in. Take a million pictures, because afterwards, you will not believe the natural beauty you have just seen!

After all this magical experience of Andean sceneries, we return to Soraypampa, where our staff will be waiting for you with a delicious lunch.

After a short rest, we board the bus and return to Cusco, arriving around 6.30 pm at the city centre.
