Colca Canyon Tour from Puno and return to Puno 3 Days/ 2 Nights

Colca Canyon is the Canyon of the Colca River in southern Peru. It’s about 160 kilometres northwest of Arequipa. The Canyon is more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in the United States, at 4160 meters, and it is promoted as the “world’s deepest canyon”, although the Canyon’s walls are not as vertical as those of the Grand Canyon.

The Colca Valley is a colourful Andean valley with many small towns founded during the Spanish colonial times. where the Collaguas and Cabanas peoples still live, maintaining ancestral traditions and continuing to cultivate the pre-Inca stepped terraces.

The name Colca refers to small mud-and-stone granaries built into the cliffs of the valley and the Canyon. People used their repositories during the Inca and pre-Inca periods to store food such as potatoes, quinoa, and other Andean crops. The Incas used tombs for important people.

This tour is a journey of 11 days to the most important Inca sites of southern Peru. We begin this excursion through Incaland in Cusco, where you will have the opportunity to explore the city through a guided tour. From Cusco, we go to the magnificent Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you will get a first impression of the fantastic landscapes Peru has to offer.

The next highlight of our journey is a visit to the famous Machu Picchu. Returning to Cusco, we continue our trip to Puno next to Lake Titicaca. After enjoying the highest lake in the world, we drive to Chivay to witness the majestic Condors in the Cruz del Condor. From there, we travel to Arequipa, the white city of Peru. Our next-to-last destination is Nazca, where you will be able to observe the Nazca Lines from a plane. This journey through the southern Peruvian Incaland ends in Lima. The travel program below is designed for individuals with limited time to visit Peru, aiming to maximise their experience within the available timeframe. Magical Highlights of Peru 15 Days/ 14 Nights

This 15-day tour is a package to visit the most magical places in Peru. We begin in Lima, where you can explore the capital of Peru according to your wishes and needs on the first day. From Lima, we take the bus to Nazca, where we can observe the mysterious Nazca Lines from a plane.

From Nazca, we travel to Arequipa, where you have another free day to walk around and visit some places in the city. We continue our journey from Arequipa through Chivay to Titicaca Lake. After some lovely days at the highest lake in the world, we travel by bus to Cusco, where we get to know the historical city on a great city tour. Thereafter, we visit the incredible Sacred Valley of the Incas. From here, we embark on the 4-day Inca Amazon Trail, culminating in our arrival at Machu Picchu. The tour ends on the 15th day in Cusco.

Its shores and islands, such as Amantani and Taquile, are home to the Aymaras and Quechuas, who are amongst Peru’s oldest people, predating the Incas by a thousand years. Here, visitors may wander through old, traditional villages where Spanish is a second language and ancient myths and beliefs still hold sway. Located very close to Puno, we can find the famous floating Uros Islands, whose inhabitants preserve their traditions and costumes in their handmade reed floating villages.
